The anime world is buzzing, and Nijū-Mensō no Musume's Shinji Ohara Launches New Manga has become the centre of attention. With fans across the globe debating every detail, this latest update is one that no otaku will want to miss.
The Story So Far
Shinji Ohara launched a fresh manga titled Moto-Shojo Tantei, Yamada Chizuko: Saigo no Jiken kara Sūjūnengo (Former Girl-Detective, Chizuko Yamada: A Few Decades After the Final Case) on Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits platform on September 30. The narrative follows Kazuo Sasauchi, a young man who moves to Osaka to attend college and therefore moves into in an old western-styled house there.
He meets the house's owner who is his great-aunt: the kimono-wearing, cigarette-smoking Chizuko Yamada. She is a former girl-detective whose past makes a comeback to haunt her. Ohara ended the first Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief (Nijū-Mensō no Musume) manga in 2007 after five years and eight volumes.
Ohara launched the spinoff series Nijū-Mensō no Musume: Utsushiyo Yoru in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Flapper in October 2007. Kadokawa published the 11th and final volume in 2014. The stories are loosely based on the Kaijin Nijū-Mensō (The Fiend with 20 confronts) novels by the famed suspense and detective novelist, Ranpo Edogawa.
The first manga series inspired a television anime in April 2008.
Whether this marks the beginning of something bigger or a standalone moment remains to be seen. What is clear is that the entertainment world is watching closely — and so are we. Follow TeraMovies for complete coverage.
