The Story So Far
Add as a preferred source on Google The turn of Hollywood captures at the Indian box office this year has been exceptional. As per an Ormax Media report, Hollywood captures minted Rs. 1,424 crores between January and July 2026, already surpassing the Rs.
1,403 crores collected during the whole of 2025. The industry is now eyeing the all-time record set in 2019, when Hollywood captures amassed Rs. 1,595 crores at the Indian box office.
In an special interview with the publication, Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR INOX Limited and CEO of PVR INOX Pictures Limited, the motion picture arm of PVR INOX Limited, analyzed Hollywood’s exceptional turn in India in 2026.
