The Story So Far
A fresh manga titled Duel Masters Pure Play's, based on the Duel Masters Play's smartphone game, launched in Shogakukan's Weekly CoroCoro Comic manga service on Monday. Reki Yayoi is drawing the manga. Hirokuni Nojima – the art filmmaker, part designer, and narrative writer for Duel Masters Play's – is credited for the manga's original narrative and supervision.
The manga is set in Duema City, a city where lovers of Duel Masters gather together. The manga centers on Kanon and Wedding, who are beings known as "Zeniths," who only have a vague understanding of human emotions and society. Through interacting with the various personalities and experiences of the city, they slowly come to an understanding of emotions.
The Duel Masters Play's smartphone game launched in December 2019. Based on the long-running Duel Masters trading card game, Yō Kanebayashi and Shigenobu Matsumoto's Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō (Duel Masters LOST: Crystal of Remembrance) manga launched in February 2024 and ended in March 2024. Kanebayashi and Matsumoto then launched the Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~ (Duel Masters LOST: Reaper of the Moon) manga in August 2024, and ended it in February 2025.
Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~, the third part of the manga, made its launch in September 2025. Duel Masters LOST ~Danzai no Shōnen~ (The Sentencing Boy), the fourth part, made its launch on March 26, and ended on July 2. The final chapter disclosed the manga will have a fifth part titled "Shitsuraku no Duel," which will launch on September 17.
The net anime adaptation of Duel Masters LOST Tsuioku no Suishō made its launch in October 2024 and had four episodes. The anime of Duel Masters LOST ~Gekka no Shinigami~ made its launch in December 2024 and ended with its fourth and final installment in February 2025.The anime of Duel Masters LOST ~Bōkyaku no Taiyō~ made its launch on February 6 with a four-installment streaming run.
The anime's fourth part, Duel Masters LOST ~Danzai no Shōnen~, will launch on October 9, and will stream four episodes.
