RANBIR & YASH — both nailed it bone-deep. 👌 Made their presence absolutely commanding 👏 I LOVED IT. ❤️ I have never known a backer to be this committed 🙏 @malhotra_namit — Sandeep Reddy Vanga (@imvangasandeep) November 5, 2026 Vanga's appreciation also brings attention to the collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, who headline the first instalment of the planned two-part cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana.
Interestingly, Ranbir, who previously collaborated with Vanga on Animal, essays Lord Rama (and Parashurama), while Yash makes his Hindi silver major screen launch as the ten-headed king Ravana. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1, subtitled Rise of a Legend, is mounted as one of India's most ambitious and expensive movie productions.
Backed by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, the movie draws from Sage Valmiki's epic and chronicles Lord Rama's journey from Ayodhya to his fourteen-year exile, alongside Sita and Lakshman, leading up to Ravana's abduction of Sita. The ensemble also headlines Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, alongside Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Adinath Kothare, Anupam Kher and Sheeba Chadha in pivotal roles.
Adding to the movie's scale is its original musical score by Academy Award winners Hans Zimmer and A.R. Ramayana: Part 1 arrived in cinemas worldwide on November 5, 2026, across standard, 3D and IMAX formats in multiple Indian and international languages.
