The Story So Far
After her acclaimed part in the 2018 spy thriller Goodachari, Sobhita Dhulipala is set to make a return to Telugu silver major screen with Cheekatilo. The recently dropped preview commits to a gripping criminal drama, featuring Viswadev Rachakonda alongside Sobhita in key roles. Directed by Sharan Kopishetty, Cheekatilo is described as a tense and thrilling crime narrative set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving Hyderabad.
The movie follows Sandhya, played by Sobhita Dhulipala, a criminology graduate and true crime podcaster. When a shocking murder unearths clues pointing to a serial killer active for nearly two decades, what commences as an investigative podcast turns into a dangerous pursuit. Using her podcast as a tool to expose the truth, Sandhya engages in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, blurring the lines between hunter and hunted.
The movie is gearing up for its arrival on January 23 directly on Prime Video and will be available across 240 countries and territories worldwide. Viswadev Rachakonda portrays a pivotal part in the movie, which also features Chaitanya Visalakshmi, Esha Chawla, Jhansi, Aamani, and Vadlamani Srinivas.
